Anxiety Therapy: Finding Calm & Clarity
Do you ever feel like there’s a dark cloud hanging over you, or that worry takes over your thoughts and daily life? Anxiety can disrupt sleep, affect eating habits, and even manifest as physical pain or panic. At DaTerra Psychotherapy & Wellness, our therapists create a safe, judgment-free space where you can process what’s going on, recalibrate your goals, and rediscover a sense of inner calm.
Our approach to anxiety therapy is primarily humanistic, with clinicians who help you explore how intrusive thoughts, internal conflicts, or environmental stressors affect your well being. We also use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) when appropriate, giving you practical tools to identify unhelpful thinking patterns and replace them with more supportive, healthy beliefs.
If mindfulness, meditation, or breathing exercises resonate with you, we can also integrate these techniques to help ground and soothe your mind. Over time, therapy can help you develop confidence, improve emotional regulation, and find a stronger sense of self — even when life feels overwhelming.

How Treatment Works:
-
Your first intake session is about 80 minutes and involves a full biopsychosocial assessment: your history, current stressors, and life goals.
-
Subsequent sessions are 50–55 minutes, usually weekly. Depending on your needs, relief may come in a few sessions, or you may choose extended work to explore deeper patterns.
-
We approach treatment from a strength-based perspective, highlighting your existing resources while gently addressing vulnerabilities.
-
You are free to end treatment when it feels right — a termination session is encouraged but not required.

At DaTerra, we work with licensed clinicians, supervised trainees, and master-level interns — supporting clients in Newark, NJ; Boca Raton, FL; and online. Our goal is to help you feel understood, empowered, and equipped to navigate anxiety in a healthier way
