Play Therapy
Helping Children Express and Heal
Play therapy is a developmentally appropriate form of therapy for children that uses guided play, creative activities, and age-appropriate therapeutic techniques to help young clients express emotions, process experiences, and develop healthy coping skills in a safe and supportive environment.

Through play therapy, children are able to communicate thoughts and feelings they may not yet have the words to express. This approach can help children work through anxiety, behavioral challenges, grief, trauma, and social difficulties, while also strengthening problem-solving skills, emotional regulation, confidence, and self-esteem.

At DaTerra Psychotherapy & Wellness in Boca Raton, our clinicians provide therapy for children and teens ages 5 and up, offering compassionate support for emotional, behavioral, and developmental growth. Sessions create a safe space for exploration, healing, and learning, helping children and adolescents thrive both emotionally and socially.

Our Florida offices are fully equipped for play therapy, allowing therapists to incorporate play-based interventions, creative expression, and child-centered therapeutic techniques designed specifically for younger clients.
